| VRS on E-Bay???? Hi folks, I'm new to this forum (as you can see with this being my first post!) but I have been skulking around on here for a while trying to decide what car to go for seeing as I have just sold my BM coupe, so I thought I would look at something quality now and consider a Octy VRS Whilst in my hunt I have been looking in the usual places including the dreaded E-Bay, now, I have just found this car for sale on there and with in mind as to what has been happening in the past with some dodgey Skodas being sold on there I was wondering if you think its the same. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW If the car is OK and there is nothing wrong with it then I apologise to the owner of it, however with it being advertised as a SLXi just modded to look like a VRS then they seem to have done a bloody good job seeing as it has (from what I can make out/know) VRS interior, clocks, brakes and exhaust it just set alarm off in my head, I would hate to be the person who buys this if it did turn out to be wrong, and from reading the past posts I see that you have delt with this problem before. Cheers folks, thanks for an informative site, in my quest to change my 'toy' car you have been a good source of information, even though I still have got to make up my mind what to get (Octy VRS, Civic type R or Seat Leon Cupra R) Cheers again, MikeD ![]() |

| Mike, that octy is an SLX and has been listed on ebay a few times now as well as mentioned here, and never makes the reserve price whatever that is. Its a very confusing auction having it listed as a vrs

| Ahhh, right, sorry about that, its just that from what I can remember in the past there was problems with an Octy and a Furby not being as 'straight' as they could have been. I was just concerned that it could be another one of those and someone would end up getting stung by it. Cheers, MikeD |

| Welcome to Briskoda, MikeD. I have moved your post to First Time Visitors, Say Hello Here as it is your first post. Anything on eBay which doesn't seem quite right almost certainly isn't, and there are plenty of 'straight' Octavia vRSs out there - and here from time to time - to choose from.

| Welcome ![]() Mike, there is defiantely 1 for sale on here that I can remember, but a search will help. Unless you are specifically after a New 1 ![]() At least if you buy 1 from an owner on here, and its not quite Kosher, you can imagine the reaction if you post that ![]() Purely from an unbiased point of view it has to be an Octy.
