| Hi there, i'm new to this but i need a little help. I've just purchased a 2004 VRS (it was a handback from the finance company I work for) and the previous owner kept the manual ~(it must make great reading considering she does't have the car anymore!!) I only picked it up on Wednesday but while driving home tonight the light on the dashboard came on with the triangle and the exclamation mark with the clockwise arrow around it. Can someone tell me if it's serious or what it means please? ![]() |

![]() I think your warning light refers to the traction control. I'll go and dig out my handbook from my superb elegance and see what it says. Will post back in a couple of minutes Edit: Yup, it's the warning light for the Electronic Stability Prog and the Traction Control System. According to the handbook, it will come on and remain on if the ESP is switched off (or if there is a fault on the system). Suggest you find the ESP button on the dash and give it a push to see if that switches it on and, hopefully, the warning light will extinguish. Hope that helps. | I wondered what that was for as well, thanks very much. I'll give it a try next time it comes on. It did dissappear when i turned the engine off and on again when i got home and i have it booked in for a service next week. Much appreciated. |

| What's annoying is that I got my manual out of the car, and couldn't work out which warning it was.
