my mate's coming too with his remapped MkIV GTI.
I expected the remapped octy to be quicker (more hp), but it's even/slower every attempt we've made 0-60. suppose the weight is the big issue?

You mean joe,No not yet he's getting one not sure when but i know he's getting one! Ardclough/Straffin all the same he's in between

Yea the RS is a little bit over weight! from a rolling start u should be level with a remapped GTI but of the line the weight dosnt help! RS Dont really do well in 0-60's they do well in a pull from 30 up........

yup... abs does its nut after the rollers and logs a fault in the ecu. The light does go off eventually but the fault is still on the system and needs to be cleared as the next time its in for a service, you'll get funny looks from the service team.

Just tell them you were doing handbrakers

PS. i'd love to have a head to head with your 252BHP / 325NM BPM. You fit a new turbo or is that Jabba power.........

It depends on the fuel that is being used. 198 is not a bad number. The torque

I have VAG-COM and can give the car the once over if you want it after the event.

man that'd be great! thanks a mil

the guys down there said they'd be able to comment on what's not running at the optimum level when it's on the RR, so it might be worth doing... although it might just be common sense stuff.
