Not sure if rack is damaged - car still runs and drives ok but really not sure if any rack damage is there..

Statement of the obvious I know, but I assume you have the V5 for the car and it is still your property.

Being as its a CAT C write off then I would have thought not, doesn't it get taken away and then if returned you have to apply for a V5C.

That's correct. It either means he bought the car back from the insurance company or didn't make a claim....

Yes mate its my car dont worry Reg is there if you need to check it lol.
I bought it already written off from insurance company with intention of putting back on road but due to lack of cash decided to break it
