Right, I've got to pull out of this day now.

I have a hotel room (travelodge) in the area booked too for the evening before pre-meet. Quite a few other Briskodians are staying there that evening too.

I'm after £60 for the hotel room and my space on the handling day.

No worries Stu.

I'm on holiday the week after, and I've just had a rather large unexpected bill, so simply can't afford to be replacing tyres and a tank of fuel etc... My current tyres are all going to need replacing in the near future, so its simply a case of bad timing for me...

Not one to put a damper on things, but who do you transfer the Travel lodge room to another person? As looking at the T&C's it says you can't.

The room I have was £29 and non transferable. I guess for some reason Tom payed the full room price to be able to transfer it?

I might even be pulling out of this the way fuel prices are going

Errr, Ok... but when you book into a Travelodge they only ask for your name and booking number. If someone is interested in this then they can pretend to be me for one night only!

For the fun of the day, I will happily throw in a bit of rubber and fuel for a good thrash about. I'm sure we won't be doing hundreds of miles under "handling" conditions so I doubt fuel consumption will be that high - I expect to use more getting to and from Devon really.

Must remember to check my tyres beforehand as the plan is to the Ring and this handling day on my current front tyres....

and they're around 1/3 wear left now....

Mr Blade! Remember you're sharing room costs too.

For those worried about tyres and fuel, you will use very little of either on the day, unless you insist on wheelspinning through all the gears all the time.
