Default IHI Conversions...using a VF30 ?

Just a quick question really.

I have a brand new VF30 that i never fitted to my old Impreza.
How easy would it be to swap the exhaust side to match a suitable Jabba manifold for an IHI conversion ?

Not even sure it would be cost effective to be honest.
But thought i'd ask.

I would have to check on this as the VF30 is a twin scroll turbo if i can remember correctly.
I will do som research for you

It's not twin scroll Luke.

It's just the non ball bearing version of a 34.

Thanks.

Rite found some bits out about your turbo, (quickly spoke to owens)

It should fit to the Jabba manifold without changing anything, the only downside is that because its not roller bearing the spool up time might be a bit longer than the 34, power output should be around the same also.

Hope this helps,

Luke

does there need to be any modification to the exhaust downpipe for it to fit?

Luke, Thats excellent. Thanks a lot for that quick response.

I fitted a 34 to my Impreza, and have tried a 30 on the same car, and spool up was about 5-600 rpm behind on the 30.
Albeit with less mods.

I think a new downpipe is required Mike.

What about oil lines, coolant lines. You'll need a downpipe, TIP, injectors, uprated fuel pump/fpr...

Yep, i'd go for the rest of the jabba conversion, it just eliminates the cost of the actual turbo.

I just want to be as fast as you Tom
