I am thinking about a custom remap, if after the remap the car went back to the dealer and they performed a software upgrade would it revert back to a standard map?

Its an Octavia Vrs TFSI, so its possible that after a service it would need to go back to Jabbasport?

If you need the ECU flash then yes it would overwrite it.
