Car: Black vRS TDi (178bhp / 284lb/ft)
Default Q about past RR Day

Not a problem - just a general question...

When the vRS's were/are run on the Rollers, was/is the ESP turned off or left on?

I can't remember...

Thanks,

I think it has to be off.

Reasoning:

- Car is moving as far as the computer can see
- Front wheels are turning as far as computer can see
- Rear wheels are not moving

Bang Error start to brake the front as we have obviously locked up the rear wheels.

That is my theory anyway

I came off the rollers with about 3 error lights anyway, handbrake warning (the handbrake is on but the car thinks its moving), TPM (I assume because the tyres are rotating at different rates, the fronts fooking fast, the backs not), engine warning light (no idea why). All cleared after turning the car off and turning it back on.

I was just thinking if ESP is on it would think you are about to go off somewhere and if you so much as touched the wheel then it would try and brake individual wheels to counter the `impending` skid
