Default axel stand position

hi all

could someone tell me please the best two places to have two axel stands holding the fron end of my fabia 1.4 8v?

IIRC, it's about 15cm behind the wheel arches. There's a kind of lip that sticks down all along the car, and if you look at the supplied windey-jack you get in the spare wheel well, you can see what I mean by the "supporting lip".

I think the positioning of the jack / axle stand is in the manual

The Octavia Owner's Manual explains the use of the standard car jack but has nothing about where to position a trolley jack or axle stands.

And still no Haynes manual !!!

Surely there are enough Octavias on the road to justify a manual now?

After all, they did a manual for the Felicia and the Octy MUST have outsold that by 2 or 3 times at least ?

Got the Haynes Manual for the Felicia. I start reading a chapter if ever I am having trouble getting to sleep....

found the lip bus unsure if it will hold an axel stand, with them being flatheaded with know crease for the lip to sit in??
what a ball ache this is proving to be, cant believe there aint no haynes, even my documents have nothin in apart from jacking points!!
