I just can't believe there are numerous threads running at the moment about 'psshhtt' and 'whoosh' and the fact that we're spending up to one hundred notes to achieve said 'psshhtt' and 'whoosh'.

Yours (noisily),

You are so right as always, Q. It's all probably been covered already, so why don't we long-termers just leave Briskoda to run itself via Search and go and dip our toes in a shark-infested American-run VAG forum where people are nice and helpful........not!

Yours (noisily),
Having spent most of this week cycling to work (and therefore able to hear better) I'd have to say the 'psshhtt' and 'whoosh' are the sounds that buses and lorries make.
Not something to aspire to. Get a nice meaty exhaust instead.

If I had a 'psshhtt' and 'whoosh' I wouldn't hear it for the rattle...

Btw, i have no interest in "Psssshttt and whoosh" or whatever.

If i want that, i'l go buy a Scoob.

For the record

Forge 007 recirc

233 Bhp (Other tuners may disagree, but frankly, screw 'em )

Runs like a dream. Goes nicely and doesn't make silly noises.

Been there, done that (like some others)

Have to say though, after removing hyperboost DV, Carbonio CAI and Neuspeed TIP and going back to standard, there is definately more 'lag' (perceived reduction in throttle response would be more accurate)

Oh, and less "Pssssshtttt and whoooosh" too.

I don't know much about dump valves, other than that the standard one on my Smart sounds rather like an Escort Cosworth group N jobbie!
