Default EGR Blanking Kit

Hi, I wondered if anyone has used/ seen this egr blanking kit :

http://www.allardmotorcompany.co.uk/pages/products/products.asp?cat=21

I wondered if it improved power/ smoothness, economy etc. and how easy it is to fit.

Cheers

That's the one that many people on here, myself included, are using.

You need to have the CEL light mapped out. Does make a difference especially if you take the time to clean out the intake manifold.

It's pretty easy to fit - few bolts. The supplied plate to fit on the lower end near the turbo is fiddly but nothing rocket-scientist level tbh...

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.
How did you get rid of the cel - do you have VAG-COM.
What difference did it make?
Does anyone else make the kit except allard?

Cheers

I have the allard egr blank kit too.

As far as i am aware allard are the only company producing these kits.

The CEL has to be mapped out. Mine was done when my car was mapped.

It cannot be turned off using vag com.
