Default Engine Trouble

Now Guys,

Is THIS the right FORUM ? haha

I have a Octy vRS and its poorly sick. Ive asked at my local dealers and they say they dont know what is wrong with her, so your my only hope.

When you first start her it sounds horrible, like a whistling noise which becomes quiet and disappears when the automatic choke cuts off.

But if you switch the engine off before this happens its still makes the noise and then fades out........ like a whistle/discharge noise (sorry but hard to explain).

It only does it when first starting FROM cold and doesnt effect the power/performance of her.

Its doing my head in and I cant bare the noise anymore.

PLEASE HELP

The noise could be the secondary air pump operating. See this thread for more info.

Yup its the secondary air pump working, perfectly normal, if its getting too loud maybe the bearings are on thier way out, will require a new pump.
