Default Fabia Gearing ratios: vRS - 1.4 16v

Does anyone know how the overall gearing (mph/1000rpm) of a Fabia vRS differs from a 1.4 16v? Noticed from the Chris Longhurst Tyre Bible that when I get some 16" vRS wheels from a fellow Briskodian i will need to buy 215/40/16 tyres not the fitted 205/45/16 's to get the same rolling radius and a correct speedo reading .

Very roughly, the gear ratios in my Fabia are this:-

1st - 6mph per 1000rpm
2nd - 11mph per 1000rpm
3rd - 17mph per 1000rpm
4th - 22mph per 1000 rpm
5th - 27mph per 1000rpm
6th - 32mph per 1000rpm

The gear ratio's are irrelevant, all you need to be concerned with is the rolling radius of the VRS alloys compared to your wheels, if the 2 are the same the speedo will remain accurate. What size are your current tyres?

205/45 16 will be the required tyre size same as the vRS

Its 86mm profile for the 215/40 vs 92mm for the 205/45

6mm difference in profile, less than a brand new tyre to a worn out one, I wouldnt worry.

So do i, one reason for the post to check if the vRS wheels/tyres a straight swap in both gearing and fit. Think 215's upper limit for a 6.5" rim, 205's seem to be about £10 each cheaper as well.
On a slight deviation anyone running Eagle F1 GSD3 or Vredestein Sportrac2's, they seem to be much better in the dry and wet over the OE Mich. Primacys.

Stimps (iirc) is running gen Fabia vRS wheels on his 1.4 16v and no problems on the original tyres.

Thanks,
Tyre Bible said that using the vRS wheel/tyres @ 70 would show 72 on speedo, just being too precise in matching RR's.
