Default Fabia vRS oil Change at 2500

I have recently taken delivery of a new fabia vRS but some people have advised me waiting till the 10,000 service for its first oil change is not the best idea and have advised it would be best to change the oil at 2500 miles to get rid of any crap that was in the engine from manufacturing etc then follow the normal servicing from then on.

Has anyone else done this?

Various Furby vrs owners have changed oil in their new cars at many different mileages...

500, 1000, 2500 and 5000 search the forums you are sure to fine all the debating for and against.

Many have waited until the 10k first service.

Non as far as I am aware have noticed any difference because they changed oil before the first recommended oil change.

The engine is filled from the factory with longlife oil, why waste expensive good quality oil?

Treat the engine with respect for the first 1000 miles and enjoy your new car.
