A normal remapped 1.8T vs a normal remapped 2.0 TFSI i know the result off. Once the TFSI hits third gear it's bye bye 1.8T. I know someone who has done the test.

I used to own a PD130 with a hybrid turbo like skudmissile. I wouldn't underestimate them, a normal remmaped 1.8T will have problems if the diesel is mapped properly.
