| You need a diverter valve, not a (atmospheric) dump valve. Unless it is a specific designed (forge do one I believe) one to vent to air... |

| that dump valve in your pic is a baily non reculating (loud) one it will only have two pipes on it ,if u fit one of these to your octy the engine managment light will possibly come on .it has also been moved to the cold side of the intercooler forge motorsport sell these relocation kits for about £80.you really need a reculating dump valve (quiet) this will have three pipes which will go where the std one is. i have a forge foo7p these are a straight swap with the std one 5minute job.forge are also good as u can service them and change the spring if u run more boost . | Hi, We have a baileys dump valve on our car (and although it has been said they cause problems we have never had any problems and have had it for aprox 9months) the dump valve we have on is this one: eBay.co.uk: Bailey Venturi Twin Piston Chrome Dump Valve NEW !!! (item 170094193908 end time 01-Apr-07 10:47:18 BST) which is the same as yours just a different style thats all, you will need to purchase a fitting kit so that it adapts to your car which can be found here: eBay.co.uk: Bailey Skoda Octavia RS 1.8T dump valve fitting kit (item 250051030145 end time 16-Apr-07 18:22:24 BST) the dump valve won't go in the same place as your recirculating one, it will go at the front of the engine instead, hence why you are finding problems and you will have to block one of the pipes coming from the old one (you only have two on the new one) if you want anymore info just pm me and i will try to help chris |
