| I've fitted standard replacement inserts to a Golf & Scirocco and the only cutting required was to get the cap off the strut as it was seized. Don't know if a Felicia is diffferent, but it was just remove the cap, pull out the old insert or innards, replace insert.

| The only time I've seen it done it was spring compressors to relieve the load on the top plate, remove spring, vice and Stilson to remove damper insert from lower strut, and reassembly is the reverse process. Not a drill in sight. |
