Default Gutted!!!!

My mate noticed today that the cill on my Oct vrs looked a little bent, on closer inspection I noticed it was indeed bent to hell on the O/S looks like the owner before me has jacked it up in the wrong place. I looked on the other side and guess what yes the cill bent about a foot back from the front wheel not as bad as the other side but still bad enough. You dont notice it at all really as you cant see it unless you bend down to look, but only having the car a week and really enjoying it I'm totally gutted! Has any one else had problems like this with jacking?

Are you saying the cill is bent?

If so I've seen various posts about cills being very easy to damage on Octys.

Do a search on the forums

The lip that runs under the cill is bent flat and slightly pushed up into the floor on the other its just the lip pushed flat! Theres no damage under the car so it's got to be a jacking problem I would guess! Looks like it's could be a problem with the oct? Body shop said they would have to weld a piece of metal onto the cill to pull them out!

Bent sills (specially Oct vrs) are really common on the front. My dealer says the sills nearlly always bend when they use a four point ramp and they pull them out with a pair of grips. Kwik Fit bent mine the first time and I wasnt too pleased. Every time i have had new front tyres or work on the ARB for example mine just fold up like a piece of tin. They might snap off one day
