You don't need to replace the crash bar on the Octy. Just remove the thin metall plate that's in the way for the IC hose. That's what I did since Forge doesn't ship the replacement bar outside UK. It's bloody heavy, and the shipping cost would be HUGE.

Yer the forge one goes straight on.

Dont beleive what people say on forums about the forge.... I have spoken with the guy who helped develop the one for the fabia. And tbh for the given space you have with the fabia its a very good design. There is no modifications needed to the car it just bolts in place, nice and simple

I havent had any problems with flow yet either, as you prolly know my car runs in excess of 230bhp and the forge is well on top of its game.

Go for the forge, it looks so nice too.

The forge seems like the pick of the bunch but people have been talking about heat soak, is there a smic that can fit and have the same kind of power gains. I am going to cut a side vent into the bumper to allow more air flow.

Rather than cut a vent into the bumper, put it into the arch liner behind the SMIC. There are a variety of ways of closing the hole to protect the cooler; This thread covers most ideas:- http://briskoda.net/forums/fabia/pik...airflow/47646/
