| I thought magnatec and edge were completly different oils, both made by castrol though.

| now then m8, im pretty positive that its castrol magnetec, theres abt 4 or five different versions, national tyres are doin a deal @ £28 for the top edge oil and new filter , you cant buy 6 pints of the oil 4 that cheap. (tis normally£35 but get big reduction if u book off the net), its meant to be a phenomenal oil, its reading on the national tyres as being fine for my car but would rather check with thwe skoda posse first, cheers Vin. |

| I use the castrol Edge from national tyres. It meets the vag longlife oil specs and is fully synth. Magantec is a semi synth oil and is cheaper. You will be fine with either oil.

| Is your car on fixed or variable service intervals?

| God knows, when the service light comes on it will be serviced, but i always like to do my oil changes myself at every 6k with a good quality synthetic oil, my car wont ever see a skoda dealer as im not into gettin ripped but i have some very good friends who r vag trained mechanics who will look aft me.Cheers Vin. |

| If you do it every 6k get the car put on fixed interval as then you can reset it yourself rather than via a computer.
