Default New shocks will they settle down? (fsd)

Had some koni fsd's fitted today, they feel great! Not as soft as i thought they were going to be with is good, but do a good job of making a smoother feel over bad roads.
They actually make the car feel lower to the ground and more solid, cornering is much improved! But they seem to sit a bit higher (using with standard springs) im hoping these will settle down, will they? how long? Now thinking i should of got some lower springs! Im skint now though so im hoping they will drop abit when settled.

Its the springs that determine the ride height, not shocks. New springs settle over time but if you've put the ones back on that you took off I'd be surprised if you see any change.

Have to say you're the first person I've heard of that has added uprated shocks and not springs (if thats what you've done). Most people just stick lowering springs on with standard shocks - which isnt the best way to improve handling.

Koni FSD's are designed to fit with standard springs

dampers are only that, dampers. they simply slow down the rate of rebound/compression. a batter damper will simply be sturdier and possibly progressive.

As someone who actually ran FSD's with standard springs I can confirm that yes, the car does sit slightly higher. Mine looked like it was on stilts! But the improvement in ride was well worth it.

Now I've got the Eibach springs on I can see the compromise - handling is much improved, but ride over uneven roads is bumpier (although the FSD's still do the great job of ironing out potholes and ruts).

So it's unlikely they will drop then? just looks to high. May have to get some lowering springs if it stays the same.

Hmmm you must be the guy I saw driving out of JKM yesterday morning?

Oh and no, your ride height won't change unless you change the springs too (as already said) but I'm sure you will appreciate just how good the FSD's are

Yeah hello mate! thought it was you, yeah the fsd's are great, looks like i will need some springs then which is abit annoying as i was told it would'nt make the car sit higher.

This could be good for me - I'm planning to get FSDs on standard springs.
I have trouble with car park entrances here so a little more height will be welcome!
