Yep H4, Phillips vision Plus are good, although Des has some very bright ones, can't recall what they were though

Des has:

Blue tint headlight bulbs
Part No.7213,H4 type
By Nokia
55/60w > 90/100w upgrade
Cost, £24 per/pair
Supplier, IP

They are very blue when switched off, but do give a nice light at night (its very daylightish).

IP are Impossible Performance:

Unit 14 Neptune Close
Medway city Estate,
Rochester,
Kent ME2 4LT

01634 710777

You could also try the Phillips Vision Plus bulbs which give a nice light and are quite bright, or if you wish to go the wrong side of legality, the Phillips Rallye bulbs are good, 90/100 . Prices are £19.50 & £25.90 inc VAT and P&P from www.powerbulbs.com. Another alternative which gives similar light to Des' are the Phillips Blue Vision H4, again from Powerbulbs @ £22.90 for the pair

Well, I've just ordered a set of each of the ones from Powerbulbs, just for comparative testing

I got the Blue Vision Ultras from Powerbulbs.

The side light bulbs do emit a nice blue light and the main light is very white. Lights up the road nicely but in retrospect probably would have gone for the Vision Plus for the extended light path.

Another recommendation for Powerbulbs - on-line and reliably quick. I went for the Philips Vision Plus ones for my 4x4 as they've worked well on previous cars (a lot better for the Impreza).

Expect better performance but not Xenon standards and you won't go far wrong

I have Osram Silverstars - better than standard, but not amazingly so.

Yes the bulbs are H4.

Does anyone have experience of using the Philips All Weather bulbs that are on the Powerbulb site?

Thanks all

Just ordered the Plasma 85 watts from IP, meant to be as bright as 100's but friendlier to the wiring, didnt want to fit 100's or 130's & blow the loom halfway across Europe. Probably OK but not taking a chance !!

Adam, no haven't tried them, even forgot to order some Ordered 3 different sets for testing but somehow missed those. Might order a set next week to compare. At least I won't be stuck if I blow a bulb

Butt's have the OE Xenon lamps listed @ around £395 each IIRC. Just a tad more expensive than Vagparts then!!

Just opened the package, and hey, they've sent me some free Phillips Blue Vision Ultra Sidelights!

Now I really am impressed, I'd heard they were a good company to use and I've recommended them in the past but this is the first time I've used them. I WILL be using them again

ffelan,
Just had a look at the Xenon light upgrade kit and I think the legality of these is questionable.
I am sure that you have to have headlamp auto level system and wash if you use xenon light units?

Incidentally, I have also used Powerbulbs in the past and I would confirm that their service is 1st class!
