Default Octy vRS - Smelly Clutch

Hey all...was trying a few quick take-offs today, and noticed a slight smell of burning clutch in the car. The smell went away quite quickly, but I was wondering if this is normal when doing this sort of thing.

I'm not into 0-60 times in particular, it's just that I've started turning the ASR off now, and wanted to get used to taking off quick if I need to while minimizing wheelspin.

I used the same technique I've always used, and I've never had a problem on any other cars. I've kept cars for 60k or 70k miles in the past and have never burnt a clutch out yet.

Cheers

Yep, high speed take-offs = smelly clutch. Perfectly normal

You smell that? Do you smell that?... friction material, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. I love the smell of friction material in the morning.
