| Can perhaps Ross or anyone else fill me and every one else in on the merits or otherwise of the likes of Slick 50 treatment..not exactly an oil additive, more a Teflon coating for the engine. The manufacturers rave about it...but they would wouldn't they! Are these and all the other oil and fuel additives really worth the high premiums they fetch I wonder. If so, which are REALLY the best? Have personally used slick 50 in the past. Can't say I noticed any significant difference, but I felt good knowing I was using it. Is this pehaps just physcological warfare on behalf of the manufacturers to get us to simply part with our money for what may in essence be useless products! |

| Read this information about engine oil additives which is part of The Car Maintenance Bible. I too have used Slick 50 in the past, and other moly products, but I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now.

| Very interesting reading that Denis.........just as I was dreading..a lot of glamerous and colourful claims from the manufacturers to which I am now even more suspicious of than before. Some mixed responses from users too! Just another ploy to get us to part with our money I'm really beginning to think now. |
