Well at last it's arrived (2 months late). What do I think? Very Smooth, so much so at first I thought it hadn't worked, until I put my foot down. It flew. Minor irritation is that when I ordered it back in August it was £299 + VAT. AMD charged me £340 + VAT. However as Trading Standards advise as I was never told the new price then they have to honour the original price, so will see what they say. However still good value for money in my book compared to the competion, not quite as much power but way cheaper. Any way off for a beer now as been stuck on the M62 in 11 miles of traffic heading home to Leeds, so couldn't play. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlo ![]()

"Hi Andy, We just need the ECU number to check which data to upload before sending the unit out to you. This upgrade should give +35bhp and +40lbs of torque. The price is £299+VAT and postage. It is also possible to upgrade this in the future to a custom map. Please call if you would like to arrange an order. " Above from AMD. Takes PD up to about 165/170, very smooth, no smog, can switch back to original map in 4 minutes and quiet a bit cheaper than the competion. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlo

| +35bhp will probably take a vRS to nearer 180bhp, most seem to put out 140-145 bhp from the factory

Interesting, how come they are only putting 140 ish out when they are quoted at 180 bhp? So is this thing just a plug in module that you fit yourself then?

It's the Fabia vRS with the PD engine, which is listed at putting out 130 BHP, although most give closer to 140. You plug the module into the OBD port and replace the ECU map with modified version, you can then swap between stock and modified map as many times as you like. Takes about 4 minutes. As stated earlier, very smooth and IMHO cost effective compared to others. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlo

Speak to AMD first then call your credit card company, they will deal with it for you if AMD don't.

Unfortunately its only for the PD engine via AMD, I believe that DMS, Star Performance & a few others do a similar product for the Occy vRS. They advertise BHP to around 205 ish at £525 Inc: VAT, fitting & rolling road session (Star Performance www.starperformance.co.uk). I assume (careful as it makes an "***" out of "u" & "me") others will be a similar price? Hope this helps. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlo
