Default PD160 inlet price shock !!

Went to my local Seat dealers this aftie intending to buy the PD160 inlet pipe and trumpet for my new (to me) '05 Fabia VRS after reading the fitting thread on here. Great I thought, the start of great things for my new baby (the VRS of course), £45 in my pocket, I strolled up to the parts counter, read the guy the part numbers. Yes he says, we've got these in ! how much I says, £75 he says. I pick jaw up from floor and walk out fuming, imagining myself the victim of a global scam to fleece innocent Skoda owners !! ringing around though once home it appears that the two parts are indeed £75. I'm back there on friday after completely emptying my piggy bank inflation, don't ya just hate it...

Yep Seat cottoned on to the fact that VW & Skoda owners along with other Seat owners were buying these for other cars and nearly doubled the price.

I bought my original one at the old price and when it came to going for the second one for ouyr second vRS i refused to pay and got one from another member on here for £30.

Keep an eye on the for sale section on here and also pop a post in the items wanted section too..... That's how i got my second one...... It's not as though they wear out after a year or two in use.

Yep same thing happened with Cupra front splitters, no doubt will happen with LCR splitters and will eventually happen with Cupra console bushes,

It's terrible really, but classic supply and demand I suppose. Think the first one I ever bought, for my first Fabia, came to £23 or something!

So it's not inflation at all, just downright greed from Seat
