Default REVO questions - What is 4bar FPR?

Hey all...just been speaking to one of the REVO dealers to get some prices, and he mentioned that the Octavia vRS could go to 221BHP if it had 4 bar something-or-other which mine may have as it is an 04 model. What is this 4 bar thingymujiggy, and do I have it?

Thinking I might have the 5 hour trial...I seem to remember a thread about probs with reverting after the trial...was this ironed out?

Cheers
Ventmore

It seems that the 4 bar thingy can be fitted to any 1.8T if you look in some of these threads it explains it http://www.briskoda.net/forums/f76-.html

Your car will only have a 3bar FPR, to take advantage of Revo's 4bar software you need to upgrade to a 4bar FPR.

Get the chip reflashed with the original code after the trial otherwise you have a chip which is non-standard - which could have warranty and insurance implications.

Not my picture but I am more than happy to acknowledge the original poster - if he/she wishes to step forward. Des, Adrian, Jon maybe?

Think it was Stockton, however, Darlo did give birth to a brick train, which is a Sight to Behold/Huge Waste of Space...delete as appropriate

Yeah, I lived in Darlo for 8 years... Got sick of all the pikeys and murders so got out. Brick train is cool though.

Personally, I enjoyed 3 bar (briefly) but for the sake of an extra 50 quid or so get the 4 bar It continues to put a big grin on my face.

I never bothered with the trial though, I just 'prepped' the car with all new hoses, dv etc and then went for it.

DaveH has more experience of both 3 and 4 bar. Hopefully he'll pop up and give his views.

If you have REVO or get REVO then SPS3 switch function will allow more headroom (if) you run the 4bar FPR.. 3bar is limited to fueling available from those injectors, so 4bar with the 4bar code gives you more, and more scope.
