Default Tyre Thread Depths

After the talk of camber settings I decided to check mine while swapping the tyres around (11100 miles on them).

Thread Depths in mm, first figure is from edge of thread to marker, figure in brackets is actual thread depth. Btw just checked in one spot quite quickly so there not the most accurate in the world.

.......... Inside........ Middle................. Outside
FL ....... 1.8 (3.8)........ 1.5 (3.24)......... 1.8(3.63)
FR ...... 1.7 (3.8)........ 1.6 (3.23).......... 2 (3.8)
RL ...... 2.5 (4.53)...... 3.5 (5.23)............ 2.9 (4.56)
RR ..... 3.1 (5.2)...... 3.68 (5.53)............ 3.25 (5)

Rear left seems to be wearing slightly more than the right. maybe due to all the roundabouts.

Which is better, swaping tyres on the same side OR cross them over ? I just swapped FL & RL then FR & RR

ya wouldn't be saying that with 2 Bald rear tyres on the car...due to the camber issue. luckily it doesn't seem to have affected me

Going to change all 4 now...hence the reason for switching them.
