Default Tyres (again)

Opinions please -

was just about to put new tyres on the car, planning to go for

Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 at £98.50

when I phoned Costco and was offered

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 at £102.21

anyone tried both ?

I guess both will handle very well, how do they compare for grip in the wet and durability ?

I've previously had Dunlop SP Sport 3000, Toyos Proxes T1-S, Kumho KU-15 and Kumho KUI-19.

Ta, Greg.

Avoid like the plague if you plan on taking any corners in the wet.

Last for ages though.

Not that I know of.

Based on the fact that F1 technology eventually reaches us mere mortals I think we're in for a long wait for good wet weather tyre from Michelin.

Pirelli P Zero Nero - everyone always says that, I just can't seem to find them at a decent price locally. Ta for the advice. I was tempted by the Pilot Sport, the gf has Pilot Premacy on her Golf PD130 and they last forever, but as I have done a lot of sliding around on corners recently the grip in the wet has to be my priority !

The tigas or whatever I currently have on my rover 414 aren't very grippy so i wudn't recommend them even in the dry... lol

However I thought the Toyo proxies I had on me volvo s40 were the best tyres I've had for the wet weather... the conti sport contacts I had on the 106 weren't as good in the wet.... but the Toyo R610s again were good....

A friend of mine has got the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 on his Evo 6 he really likes them.

How much are the P Zero Neros ? better than rosso's?

The conti sport I've got at the moment don't seem that good in the wet...

Had the P zeros on since Saturday now and I'm well chuffed to say the least

Didn't realise how badly the car was understeering.
