Default VRS V's Standard engines question

Sorry for this really stoopid question -

What has been changed in order to make the diesel VRS engine what it is?

I assume that it is basically exactly the same lump as the standard 2.0 TDI but what has been changed replaced?

Has it been given a larger Turbo or simply been re-mapped like the off-the-shelf re-mapping software available today?

I suppose the same has been done between both the diesel & petrol variants?
Regards,

W.

I believe it has a bigger turbo and that the ECU has been remapped and maybe changed entirely.

also pd130 injectors instead of the pd100 ones as they are far stronger

I assume he's talking about the Octy Mk2 diesel vRS, but it will almost certainly have bigger injectors...

Thanks all for the info, yes I am talking about Mk2, so what with the different injectors & larger Turbo would I be right in thinking that by changing the mapping software on the ECU & "fooling" the standard 140Hp engine into into providing more power 140-170hp in this case would it not be fair to suggest the current Turbo & Injectors are going to be stressed beyond there actual manufacturers limits possibly resulting in failure sometime later?

Or am I talking Bollox?
