Question When Do I Need To?

I'm just wondering when the vRS needs a new, stronger clutch (like the one in Audi S3!?) to withstand the new improved torque by modifying it?

My car has a torque of 315-320Nm, do I need to change my clutch?

What's your experience guys? Where's the limit?

Cheers,

FD

You aren't at the limit yet. It'll cope with that provided you don't drag race it to much. As for an upgrade, how about this:

Lightened flywheel - get a standard Golf Rallye G60 one, must be from the Rallye (4wd). Save about 6-7kg
To mate that to the Octavia gearbox you then buy:
Golf G60 pressure plate (not from the Rallye)
Golf G60 friction material - available in 3 compounds, normal, uprated and sport. Don't advise the sport unless you like a paddle clutch (basically on or off and therefore crap in traffic)

Not that I'm thinking about it or anything

Jon

Sounds cool Jon !! I'll give a call to Dahlbeck Racing and check out what they got.
