Default Widest tyre on a 6J X 15" rim

Hi posted this here as it's not Skoda specific

On my commuting car (Ford Focus 1.8 TDDI) its got 195/60/15 tyres and I've got the chance of a cracking deal on 205/50/15Toyo Proxes T1-R which i also run on my 4X4 Octavia albeit in 16" size on that one.

Question is will this be a stretch on 6J X 15" rims or will I get away with it, would rather not have top find 6.5J rims, being as I would kill for a shoestring budget!

Regards,
Steve

On a 6J, the 195 are already pushing to be too wide. Ideal combination would be 7Jx16s and 205s. So I guess on a 6J, you should really be looking at 185s.

6.0"/205 = 74.34%, so it's within limits.

but 195 is the standard width
