VW Show at the Pod on the 10th of July

just wanted to know if anyone had any info or was going to this show at Santa Pod ont he above date??

MonkeyBoy and myself are going (more than likely) but Paul thought Briskoda or someone from us had organised a stand.

Right, i've found a number for arranging club displays. theres no charge but i didnt want to book us a spot unless we were going to have at least half a dozen cars there.

theres also a show n shine with prizes for best in class. anyone can enter this as well and there is no charge. cars are grouped into classes i.e. standard, modded and crackers, or something like that.

http://www.vwaction.co.uk/vwgti/rwyb.htm - once you've paid to enter the show you pay a one off charge of £15 and you can run the strip as much as you like. Its a RWYB (Run What You Brung) so there is likely to be fairly long queues but there is no reason why you couldnt get at least 4-5 runs in for your money.

Admission to the show is £12 per person.

Santa Pod is in Northamptonshire. IIRC close to Desborough or somewhere with a simular name.

ok people... i had a call from the organisers this morning and we're good to go but they did say we'd be better having at least 10 cars so as not to embarrass ourselves.
i'm going to give them a call later this week to let them know if we'll be deffinately having a stand or not.

like i said if we dont get 10 cars theres not a lot of point.

True say. Although I think 5 cars would be suitable... makes our club look "exclusive", lol. But as said, could have the opposite effect, by making us look a bit silly! lol

just heard from Paul aka MonkeyBoy and he said that if we dont get a stand and anyone wats to have their car in the show n shine then this shouldnt be a problem cause thats pretty much what he was going to do.
