Local meet

I know this has been tried before but I thought I would have another bash

There are a good few members around the northeast/north yorks area but we never seem to have a local meet (unless it's hush hush and I don't get invited

) The weather is picking up now, we have fantastic countryside on our doorsteps why don't we make use of it? I'm not really into 'cruises' so that's not what I'm suggesting! Just a friendly meet/chat, maybe a gentle country drive and perhaps a pub for food? Something along those lines...

If your talking around sat 30th i am up in York again i may be able to sneak of for a few hour's fun, cos my saturdays in york are usually spent standing round outside shops whilst waiting for my shopaholic wife and sister in law to finish whatever it is women do when in shops for so long.

That is if i got this right is York near you lot

How about Helmsley? I don't know how far people are prepared to travel. I thought Helmsley because it's 30 mins from york, 35 mins from Middlesbrough, 20 mins from Thirsk etc... A little out in the sticks perhaps but there are a few good pubs for food, or im sure there will be a chippy if you would prefer? And it's a nice drive out. Let me know your thoughts.
