Re: After the Keswick meet....

Just got back, followed Jon at the roundabout but didnt try to keep up, especially as he was running racing slicks . Lot less traffic on the way home but it was building around manchester so glad I did! Nice to see faces old and new but probably didn't chat as much as I should. Thnaks to Sharky for a scamera free route and Jon for the Black Magic paint job . Meal was excellent good reccomendation on the Ghoulash! And HC behaved what more could I ask for.

Looking forward to the next one WSM for me but would love another overnighter ALA BBQ for more social interaction! (and a pi$$ up ) see you all soon

Re: After the Keswick meet....

yup... great meet, nice to see some new faces, as well as a few I've met before!

I just have a few pics, but here we go!

this is as we were waiting for people to arrive... I like the silver grill on jonny boy's fabia.. (think I got the name right!)

a few more of us arrive at the carpark by the lake!

then off to lunch in the dog and gun....

and a stop in a lovely muddy carpark down by ulswater... half way through our drive!

all in all a good meet! we'll have to have another soon

edit: the pics above are srunk for the site, hi res ones available if you ask! and just noted a post above about a stay over... would be good, as we have many good campsites riound here, some with their own pubs attatched! lol....

Have any got bunk rooms or houses for a winter/ spring meet that wouldn't brake the bank?

I have a sump guard Only tw@ed it twice.

Yellow with a hint of black looks good on a Fabia

Re: After the Keswick meet....

Nice little meet. Good to see the faces behind the Avatars.

As usual, the Lakes never fails to deliver a good trip and the weather did hold up for us.
The Pub was top notch, the beer was excellent as well as the Aberdeen Angus burger with Nachos !! Yum, Yum.

Must say, Sharkrider at the head of the convoy is the 'Skoda Fabia World Rally Champion' as I struggled to keep up at times. (or maybe I drive like a Grandad)

I thought he had Sat Nav, but he knows the roads being local so that's where the advantage came from

Here's a couple of pictures and a couple of vids as well. Oh by the way, the Rick Astley playing WAS on the Radio !!

Seeya next time.

I've got loadsa piccies - too big and don't know what to do.

Chris - Glad you enjoyed the Gable.
BTW, the hill out of Grasmere reminded me of an old 'KitKat' advert. "Middle of the road."

go here ImageShack® - Hosting and either click the button that says "resize for forums" or once you have loaded the pic up, use the thumbnail link that's offered to post on here...

Chris - good effort. I especially like the one with the LandRover tyre tracks which leads the eye through the picture.

Re: After the Keswick meet....

Yeah a big thanks to everybody involved, making it a great day out. Well worth the 220 mile round trip. Only took one piccy which is a poor effort on my part, but will post it when i can find the time. Plus i forgot to set the video camera up which is a shame as those routes where awesome. Patiently waiting for the next one.
