| Interest for Skid Control Day How many people would be interested in a North West Skid Control day? Be looking for a minimum of 12 people. Day would be split up into morning and afternoon sessions. 6 people in the morning session and 6 in the afternoon session. This would be to minimize waiting times as only 1 skid car will be used per session. The Skid Control Course will comprise off. 1. Classroom Theory Briefing. 2. Instructor Skid demos 3. Hands on Skid Practice 4. Instructor braking technique demo ABS and non ABS 5. Hands on braking technique practice. 6. Timed Slalom Event. The fun part of the course, this is a chance to enjoy putting Your new found skills into practice against the stop watch. The object of the slalom is to encourage drivers into a loss of control scenario to practice their skills and increase confidence in a safe and controlled environment. Each pupil successfully completing the course will be awarded a Certificate as a memento of the experience and a discounted opportunity to join one of our Race Circuit sessions. The cost of the morning or afternoon session would be £60 if 12 numbers are met. UPDATE Location will be the old Liverpool Airport behind the Marriot hotel. Easy access from the Runcorn Bridge, M57, M62. To keep the cost to around £55 will need 20 people (MAX 24) Also depending on interest & location (it is a NW meet afterall) the skid control day could be included with other activities which include your own car. Activites such as learning how your ABS and Traction control works , Slalom course, small circuit (approx max speed of 90mph), smaller circuit (max speed approx 60mph), how to uese your handbrake, J turns. Then finished off with timed slalom and circuit events. The location would have to be an Airfield. So what you think? Add your name to the list if your interested. 1)Faboka

| Re: Interest for Skid Control Day I did this at three sisters when i had first passed m test. It teaches you so much. looking to get my wife on it, as she hasn't been driving long, and i've insured here on my L&K!!! Also, Living in Glossop, when it snows, people round here seem to think the whole world stops. Everyone should be made to do a skid pan control course before they can pass there test. Hope you get all the people, if not, may have to get my wife involved. Chris |

| Re: Interest for Skid Control Day Question - Do we get to learn this skid control business in our own cars on the day, or if not will there be a chance to learn skid control in ours? Just thought it might be more useful to understand how our own cars react under skid conditions...
