Re: Post Rolling Road Day Discussion and Pictures/Video

i think the question has to be,is 180-185bhp a realistic output from a remap alone?gtjunior's didn't make this and that had the uprated clutch and intercooler, and none of the other mapped fabia's made it either so i wonder if it is possible.

Re: Post Rolling Road Day Discussion and Pictures/Video

When I had a Fabia at first, it ran standard at 136bhp then 180bhp with Jim at Stars map on it, same RR. At other RRs it was between 170 and 190, then I added a FMIC etc no increase in power at all, just the ability to run for longer at that power.
Then I got a lot more power with a lot less reliability. IMHO a remap will be worth it, just make sure it's not generic or your looking around the 170bhp mark which wouldn't be worth the effort as Awsomes are some of the best rollers in the country, transmission losses seem more realistic there. eg my 4wd shows transmission losses of 70bhp, which the car doesn't make till 2k revs but it still moves ????

Re: Post Rolling Road Day Discussion and Pictures/Video

not bothering with a remap,as the standard turbo isn't going to be there very long

Yer would have been good to do a sidebyside "pull" with someone behind filming, but i had places to be and roll bars to collect.

Maybe a feature to be added for next year Who has the smokiest fabia?

how come it only runs to 3k?

you should get it done again when you get 10k under its belt

Re: Post Rolling Road Day Discussion and Pictures/Video

There was an Octavia vRS on Chipped UK's rollers last week and here's the graph.

It's not a very smooth curve due to the car trying to come off the rollers.

my power doesn't seem too good , but the torque has gone up by about 25lbft , its certainly quicker than it was , but i was disappointed by the result , but not as much as Sharky was

Well BHP is a function of torque and RPM so after the Max torque value your graph will have dropped off. So at the RPM where your Max BHp is occuring will have less torque than a mapped one so hence less peak bhp. If that makes sense.

I recon it will be summat to do with the dragon box not holding the boost right up the rev range.

the Dragon box doesn't adjust the boost , the peak torque is in exactly the same place 2-2.5k rpm , the max power peaks slightly earlier though

i have about 180lbft at max power which is at a lower rpm (3.8k)

whereas that graph shows 200lbft at max power (4k)

Presumably it might be less in a figure, but probably holds better.

Cheers Steve.

Well Mine made 125 at the wheels with 240ftlbs.

oilburninnut. Could it be possible the actuator has been played with? Your plot is similar to 3fs jnr where at 3.5K the torque seems to hold for longer?

got to agree there , very high figures for a standard car , although i don't doubt what Oilburninnut says that he hasn't done anything to it , just a bit suss
