Smile 2bd gear oomph and max power for FWD...

Prior to me having the VRS Jabba'd (230bhp) second gear was awful for pick up unless you used much of ther long first gear before changing. Since the remap things have improved however I find with relaxed town driving that second gear is still a bit lacking, does anyone else find this? Is there a solution?

Also my VRS is fitted with Pilot Sport (they are the best I was told), the car however struggles like mad for grip when driven hard in 1st and 2nd gear, are the tyres not up to the job or is this the limit for FWD power I wonder?

Thanks all.

I dont know about the 2nd gear prob may need to go back to jabba and get
it checked, its maybe your maf sensor.

As for the traction all frt drive cars are a complete nightmare for traction 1st -2nd when planting the throttle even with traction control with 230 hp no matter what road tyre you have, quaiff diff is the way to go to get power down but they do cost lots

I don't think the front tyres are going to last long on my re-mapped car either... After a few weeks, though, I'm finally gettting the hang of brisk starts!

As I've posted elsewhere, my car didn't feel quite as sharp last week and I had a boost drop yesterday. Today all seems well and back to its tyre shredding best, but I'm about to clean my MAF and inspect the inlet piping.
