Default ABS problems with Octavia estate

Hello all, I am new to this site. I just bought a 2001 Octavia Estate 1.9tdi elegance last weekend. Unfortunately, the ABS light and the TCS light have started to come on, and the ABS seems to be coming on when breaking only lightly. Any ideas what might be the problem????

You need the fault codes read off, possibly a sensor issue.

Either a sensor, or one of the rotor rings is spoofing a sensor into thinking there's a traction issue. Probably a sensor though.
