I have one, and I removed the resistor....

Fitted it, but it does not seem to work very well - The autorollups from the key in the lock work, but struggle with the remote window shut / open / vent features though :-(

Mine works fine. Initially I found it a little too sensitive when unlocking and often rolled all the windows down. However changing to one click unlock sorted that.

It allows control of the windows and sunroof from the OEM remote key fob.

But is for A4 based platforms only, so it wont work on a Fabia.

Don't worry, I can find an aftermarket brand that will do the job You can even get a remote start function installed here

You can get remote start here as well but I believe it's illegal to use in public places.

Goochie - I presume you have what you need - you just snap off the resistor to enable the rollup function!

I'm on my second one as a bodyshop managed to blow up the first

It's always worked well for me but you do have to time the presses properly for it - took me a few practice goes.

I'm looking forward to summer so I get to use it again!

How long are you meant to wait between presses?

I managed to get mine to unlock the car and roll down the windows last night, but this morning by pressing unlock-lock, I expected the car lock and the sunroof to close... but sadly I was ignored (hopes it does not rain!)

Also unlock-lock-unlock which I thought was meant to be vent mode was ignored!

It is mentioned on the first sheet on my installation notes

"in order to allow any rollups ... ... a resistor must be physically removed from the controller. This resistor is located right next to the cable connector and is coded with the stripes ORANGE-ORANGE-YELLOW-GOLD. To enable full operation of the controller, includinf roll ups, remove this resistor by cutting of bending it back and forth"
