Default ARB bushes

Hi All,

I have a suspcion my ARB bushes are on the way out (the creaking noise). The dealer says this is not covered in the 3rd year of warranty as it is wear and tear and have quoted £98 ti fit.

Is this a job I could do myself or is it a bit of a pig??

thanks for any advice.

Cheers

Just got mine back today, after the knock had turned into rattling. New ARB Bushes and new ARB.

No knocking now and a transformation to the steering, didnt know it had got so bad. Feels solid and more responsive now, no play at all.
£142.74 all in.

Others threads of interest, ignore my repetaive post.

Had my ARB & bushes replaced under warranty about a month ago - suppose it depends how nice your dealer is

Ask the dealer to show exactly where in the warranty conditions this is covered. Also, what sort of milage has your car done? It's a different argument on "wear and tear" if you've done 5_000 miles from if you've done 50_000! FWIW my Elegance has done 72_000 and AFAIK hasn't had ARB bush issues; certainly there's been no sign of any creaking or knocking from the suspension in the last 10_000 miles.

Is it worth going down the poly bush route with these though.

If they are going to go every 3 years or so then poly should last lnger??

Any ideas??

Cheers

Its usually down to the bar rather than the bushes.

Hi Lummox

so does that mean I'll need a new bar as well as the bushes then?

Is this a job best left to the dealer though?

Cheers
