| I bought a Octy VRs 2 weeks ago, 51 plate with just under 25k miles on the clock. The first week I averaged just 19.3 mpg. I thought it was driving style so for the last week I`ve been driving like a nun . But I still only did 20.3 mpg. Is this normal to be so low? I thought the vrs was suppost to do around 35mpg? |

| Try a new air filter first, then maybe try cleaning MAF with iso-propyl alcohol if you feel up to it. Also check no pipes have come away. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/octav...ight=maf+clean Usual disclaimers apply, try it all at your own risk

| That kind of rules out air filter, still worth checking for pipes. The MAF seems really common on the 1.8T, so wip it out and give it a clean.
