Roughly around 210hp from a remap, definately the best place to go is to Impossible Performance, and they've got a group buy on at the moment.

If you want to know which is the best map, try using the Search facility then make up your own mind. JM2PW

Are you suggesting he drives from the Boro to Rochester in Kent ....? A 540 mile round trip ??
Ask the lads at Derek Slacks or talk to the boys at Triple-Six Motorsport on Cannon Park. They should point you in the right direction locally.....

JBS in chesterfield is much closer and they did mine to 210bhp and it was a storming job. Driving to Kent for a remap is daft

How about Chipboost? (Scarborough) I've heard good things about them and he's a lot closer than most to where you live. A blast back over the moors past Whitby on the way home should be enjoyable afterwards. Mind you, he does travel to you if needed, but where's the fun in that?

An introduction to Chip tuning and remapping

This is of course in your opinion.

There are many good remappers out there...some good...some bad.

The good ones are very much of a muchess and then it comes down to price and locations.

Go definately for one with a good reputation and talk to them about your requirements. Just don't look at the figures or the price.

Price wise....£450...cheaper if you get a discount through one of group buys.

Most of those who have had mods have used one or more of the main tuners....and each has their own preference.

There are plenty of threads here about the same question....have a search and have a read. PM members about their personal experiences.

Such threads generally degenerate into "mines better than yours". So on a general note....please be sensible!

Ta.

As John said, do plenty of research. I went to Awesome GTI (APR re-map) because 1. They're a reputable company & 2. They're quite local to me.

I've had no problems with the re-map and I'm more than happy with the performance.
