| I was trying to change my rear pads today however could not compress the piston, i was reading somewhere you can use pointy pliars to turn the piston clockwise how does the tool work? is it a function of compressing it, or is it turning it clockwise (there is 2 notches in the piston to turn it) any help would be great as i want to try and have another go tomorrow lastly if i really need to buy the tool, where can i get one? thanks |

| I fabricated my own device, but you need to turn and push at the same time.... or certainly that was my experience. I think there are some generic kit that will fit various breaking systems. |

| i ended up getting the tool at halfords, £19 but in the end it saved much pain! even with the tool it was a bit of a pain. brakes are now sorted! the wheels are also now moved about and the better rubber on thanks for all the help guys |
