| Briskodian | My new car picked up last saturday am really happy with it. It is completely standard with a few optional extras (parking sensors, cruise control and sunroof.) It has only done 15,000 miles on a 55 plate and I got it for £6,495. Any comments welcome Thanks Chris ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 Nice motor and the best colour in my opinion. Price really is remarkable, all you need are the VRS mats and the carpets given a good shampoo. |

| Briskodian | Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 Ha ha yeah didn't notice the parking sensors till you pointed them out! Saw the car on autotrader and followed the link to the companies website RudeCar.co.uk Entry Page they specialise in car audio and other bits and bobs. I put a deposit down immediatly and he held it until the weekend so i could pick it up. Am really happy with it the only slight problem is that there is a 0.5 cm gap between the light and the bumper at the front but everything else is fine. Just got to clean the footwells and I already ordered myself some mats off ebay (thanks for the link though), vRS tax disc holder and some bonnet struts. Remap will be after I get it serviced as it is due in Sept 07. Was thinking of doing a few more tuning mods but realistically financially I think it will only be a remap. Thanks Chris Infact I just followed the link to the rudecar website and my car is still on there saying 'SOLD' |

| Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 Watch out for the non genuine vrs ebay mats.By the look of it they don't have the eye holes to stop the mat slipping about.

Almost got it perfect in the end though. Mind you, if all the original stickers are on the front crossmember, that's a sure sign it hasn't been replaced, so I guess its just "out!" | |

| Briskodian | Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 Canb't believe the price you got it for - my car is the same but a year older - I paid quite a bit more with only 2000 less miles on 6 months ago. My doesn't have the extras either. Well done for getting it at that price... |

| Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 I take it its all been HPI'd etc? As said, some genuine mats (I managed to find a new set on ebay and paid £46) or over £100 from Skoda.

| Briskodian | Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 Yes it is I have got a business card from rude car with his name on it. I am guessing you know him and hopefully have something good to say?? Yes car is HPI clear I have checked everything out and as i said the bumper is the only fault. I have driven over 700 miles in it so far and eveything seems perfect so touch wood it will stay that way!

| Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 I thought that they stopped doing the Octavias in rally red on a 52 plate and replaced it with Corrida red! Your car does look like rally red in the pictures but I've never seen a 55 plate that wasn't the darker Corrida red. |

| Re: Chris Taylor's Octavia vRS Mk 1 I was just going to say the same thing. Its corrida (or as someone said, Corridor, as its not quite as vibrant as the rally)
