Default Cleaning Filter on a CAI

Hello..
I have a EVOMS cold-air-intake on my Octy vRS... to be honest its sounding a bit asthmatic at the moment so i want to clean the filter... Now the filter is down in the wheelarch, hows the normal way to remove these? is it a bumper-off job?

and how can i clean it, i dont have any specific cleaning stuff (i used to just use fairy liquid on my old green filter)

Take of the wheel (You may get away without doing this), then undo about 9 of the torx screws holding the wheel arch liner, peel it back and you should have enough access HTH

Or do it from the top by removing the battery and take the intake off as a whole

Pretty much all of the manufactures of filters do a cleaning kit comprising of a cleaner and then a re oiling solution.

K&N's one is about a tenner i think
