| OK, This is probably something obvious, but it's puzzling me on my '01 reg RS: I switch on the engine electrics. All the correct warning lights come up on the dashboard. If I'm not wearning my seatbelt then the annoying warning chimes go off. Now: sometimes the climatronic system switches on at this point - display comes on, fan switches on etc. But - sometimes it doesn't. The climatronic display comes on, but without the fan-speed indicator, and the fan doesn't run. Once I start the engine, the fan comes on, and the aircon works as normal.Anyone have any idea why? Thanks, David. |

| Not sure if the Octavia monitors battery levels but it is possible that it doesnt run the fan if the battery level is low. I've heard of that on other cars but I dont know if the Octavia does it. |

| Doesn't it also do "things" to prevent condensation. I think it delays starting of fans and directs the airflow to the footwell based on outside and inside temps.
