Default Climatronic question

Does anyone know if it's possible program the Climatronic so that it doesn't automatically turn on the Air-Con if you press the Screen-demist or Re-circ buttons when in ECON mode?

Thanks
Pud

(I've done a search but couldn't find anything. Honest).

Cant be done, the aircon is used to demist the screen as its the most efficent way of doing it, and in recirc mode its essential to stop the car misting up. In both these cases the A/C is used to remove moisture from the air.

In all the time I owned my octy I never used econ mode, if you set the right temp and leave it on auto thats all that you should need. I had mine set to either 19c or 20c depending on how sunny it was outside.

I am not aware that the Climatronic ECU can be reprogrammed. Recirculated air and ECON mode is only possible if you select the recirc button first when in that mode then reselect ECON.
