| Hi guys, I changed my insurance over to my new vRS by giving them the reg number... just got the documents from Tesco insurance and it's stated as: 1.8t Elegance 5d I'm going to ring them up to see if I can change it to vRS so they can't squirm out if I need to make a claim. Will this raise my insurance?! I'm sure I read something about octavias being registered wrong? |

| Mine was down as elegance too. Just make sure they don't charge you for a change to your insurance details. |

| They're going to look back on the phonecall and ring me back on Monday, typical. They said the vRS was made until 2003, but mine is a 51 plate and def a vRS? Wassup with that! |

| With most insurance companies mine says vrs, others such as Direct line list it as Elegance (mine is a vrs) |

| Check your V5C and see what it says, the insurance database does a best match against the model. I reckon none of yours say vRS, as I went through this. Once I had the V5 changed to vRS I had no more problems.

| Interesting, if the V5 is correct then the insurance should come through correctly.

| Mine was listed as a Superb when I was trying to insure mine even though the V5C was correct. After a quick phone call all was sorted. ![]() |

| My L&KPD130 is correct with DVLA but always comes up 110 on insurance databases and has to be corrected to get the right quote - inaccuracies are a common problem it seems. |
