Default Draining gearbox oil

I want to change my gearbox oil soon (4x4). Just a quick question - do I need a ramp and any particular tools?

A level surface is fine as you can get to the plug from behind the nearside wheel but if you have access to a four poster then all the better

Also you will need a hexagonal tool to remove the drain plug i believe its the largest of these

I got mine from the local parts shop for about three quid iirc and if no one else comes up with it in the meantime ill have a look and give you the size / part number in the morning
